Total Eclipse of the Woods

IYKYK There’s going to be a TOTAL eclipse over my town on April 8th. This is what I imagine the view over Wintergreen Gorge may look like.

When I have a difficult time getting going on some pieces, I’ve found painting birds, or other wildlife gets my brain into the flow state. Taking a chance to focus on recreating the birds true image with my analytical brain gives my creative side of the brain time to breath and pick a direction. Also birds have great personalities!

Ocular Enlightenment
