new growth forest

In the words of Girls 5Eva, “Why don’t we bend, so we don’t break?”

Our roots grow, and we grow as people. Our little terrariums that were once just right, aren’t fitting us quite as well. Some times in life you need grow in a different direction, from the fallen old growth of the past, still nourished by the roots of before, but the canopy changes and the light that you need is coming from a different source.

Yeah, I’m being sentimental comparing myself to fungus on a dead log, but facts are my life’s direction is changing, in a good way. I have finally committed to giving myself more room for other things I want to accomplish outside of just cooking. This new journey isn’t so much an end to cooking, but a beginning of working on my cooking. A bridge toward making writing, painting, just art in general more of a career so that I can have more time at home, and more time for a family.

In the words of Bob Dylan, “The times, they are a’changin’.”

Taking a grift off from birds to other winged creatures and then went down to the earth.
